Turkey: Pamukkale & Istanbul

27.03.2014

• up early to catch shuttle to bus station - bus to Pamukkale - slept most of the way - transfer in Denizli to Pamukkale - arrived and made my way to Melrose House Hotel - friends arrived shortly after - rested by the empty pool - not season yet :)
• walked into town and walked to tavertine hills - took shoes off and walked up the white mountain - calcate - beautiful clear pool or hot spring runoff - beautiul and strange - at top there is an ancient Roman city lying in ruins - went to ancient bath - swam in hot spring with fallen pillars - snack after - walk back down mountain - photos - fished for glasses 
• Tiffany bought her parents a rug - walked back to hotel - dinner - Uma and Mehmet - great food - 
• Mehmet drove me to the bus stop up the road and helped me flag down a minibus back to Denizli - wait for bus to Istanbul - got on and tried to fall asleep - 

28.03.2014

• woke up early in Istanbul - transfer to the metro - metro to Cheers Hostel - feels like coming home - shower and set up in my room
• Relaxed in the common area - met Mario from France - went with him to buy a bus ticket - went with him to take final photos of Sultanhemet - 
• Stayed at the hostel on the computer - relaxing day after a lot of movement - met Sarah from London, James from London, and Kristina from Chicago - went with them to the hamam - watched James get beat up while I did self-service treatment - rested there a long time - went home -
• continuted to work for a while - chatted with new frinds - went to Taksim area to meet Amy and the crew for dinner at Varka Antakya Lezzetleri - they had a rough day - hail storm in drive - first Air B&B place did not work out - second hotel choice did not have power - burnt out - great food helped a bit - went back to hotel - they did have room - put them in the attic - walked them to a bar and went home before metro stopped running
• relaxed and worked on an application for a job - bed

29.03.2014

• breakfast - chatted with James and Kristina - added Kristina on Facebook and realized we had a mutual friend - Tiffany, one of Amy's friends whom I met two weeks ago and have been traveling around Turkey with - they are friends from Chicago and are meeting up in India to travel together this weekend! Small world :)
• Offer a job - had to decline - applied to a job back home
• worked on computer - walk the dog - ran into couple from Montreal - so amazing to see them - had not been able to get contact details before I left Antalya - stopped to buy a couple of things and then home again
• talk with Kevin - ran the desk for a bit - 
• goodbye to friends
• off to bus - not feeling well - almost sick on metro - made the bus - long night
